Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

Drug Laws in VA

My brother is about to go to court for 4 counts of distribution of Cocaine. They sent in a career criminal with a wire and the transcipts say the tape is mostly inaudible and have no evidence of distribution, just the word of the criminal saying he sold it to my brother. The money was never found on my brother. He has paid $7000 to a lawyer in the ''good ole boy network'' and they want him to plead guilty and serve 6 months in Jail and 6 months in Boot camp. He is not guily. Can you offer any advice. We feel railroaded!

Re: Drug Laws in VA

If your brother is not guilty of the crime with which he's been charged, under no circumstances should he be pleading guilty. It would be far better(in my opinion, of course,) for him to go to trial and let a jury decide the matter of his guilt or innocence------after they've been presented with and duly considered all of the relevant evidence.
