Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

State of VA

My newphew was just found guilty for stealing a vehicle, driving without a license, aluding the police, and one other count which I cannot remember...This has all happened while he was on probation from a previous conviction where he faces another 8 Felony charges for breaking an entering. I might mention he also has cut his ankle bracelet off while on house arrest and took a gun from his grandmother and stole her car before going back to JV (all before being fround guilty of stealing the vehicle). I hope this makes sense. Anyway he turns 18 this June and his sentencing is set for April 7 and faces a total of 14 felony charges on April 7 what is going to happen to him? He is not one to make the best judgment calls.

Why not ask the attorney representing this felonious young man who should

be able to give you some rough estimate in the matter without violating

the strictures bearing on attorney-client privilege? (This individual should presumptively be in a far better position to answer your question than anyone in this forum.)

What is going to happen? Impossible to say for sure, but detention and/or jail sound like good bets, especially if his questionable judgment might lead him to decide to represent himself. If he does not have an attorney, he needs to get one immediately. Tell granny to put her teeth in her pocketbook, as its gonna be a bumpy ride.
