statue of limitaions/ idenity theft/ forgery

whatis the statue of limitions for identity theift/fraud? also if you have made payment arigements with the person and have paid some of the amount. how can they still charge you?

If it's charged as a felony, the statute of limitations is most likely five years(or thereabouts); if charged as a misdemeanor, one year.

As regards your second question, if the charge were embezzlement and you had made arrangements

with the victim to make restitution, the state could still charge you with embezzlement because

the state has been wronged by your criminal act in addition to the individual victim and does not need the latter's permission to bring charges.

The same reasoning applies to the identity theft situation described in your question.
