Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

trespassing frederick co va

I was convicted of trespassing. The only witnesses were the complaints, an older husband and wife. Their land had not been surveyed, only one photo which was taken a month after the fact. I was accused of stepping 2 feet into their grass as I got into a vehicle in our shared driveway. Besides the 12 foot right-of-way, I also have an easement parcel for septic system that is 1824 sq. ft. For my appeal what would I do, hire an attorney or try to defend myself again. I was fined $100.00 in FCGDC. Thanks

Appeal for a de novo trial in the circuit court with an attorney representing you this time.(You have 10 days to file the appeal with the clerk's office and 30 days to perfect it from the date of the conviction in the general district court.)

If you try to represent yourself again, you will likely end up with the same result, i,e., CONVICTED.
