Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Virginia

pay raise discrimination

i work for the state of virginia. some of the workers in my department including me received pay raises today. due to some documented health issues i have had over the past couple of years i have been missing some work days but ihave leave time to cover them. but because i had to miss those days iwas considered a ''non-contributor'' to the state and got a somewhat lower pay raise. somereason that just dont seem fair to me. i give 100% effort to my job when thing are going well. it seems that the state of va is more concerned about the money than the cotributors or workers. is there anything i can bitch about to somebody and be treated more fairly? i cannot help it if i have health issues!

Re: pay raise discrimination

Sure, you could file a grievance like any other state emplpyee for treatment which you believe has been unfair. (However, to have some chance of success, you'd be well advised to constrain what may be your natural "bitchiness" which may be inclined to manifest itself in the process.)
