I really like this guy and we want to start dating but my dad says he will put him in jail if i see him again he is 18 and im 17 can my dad put him in jail seeing my in virginia?

Nope. Just do not have sex with him. It is still unlikely that your dad can do anything about it but why tempt fate, just wait till you are of age.
