Legal Question in DUI Law in Virginia

failure to appear

I live in South Carolina and petitioned the court in Virginia to reinstate my driving privledges. I was evaluted by ASAP and they recommended the court deny my petition. Do I still need to go back to my court date in VA? What are the consequences if I don't go since I petitioned them?

Re: failure to appear

If you fail to appear, the Virginia court will most likely accept the recommendation of ASAP without further argument and deny your petition or simply dismiss it for other reasons (including your failure to appear and present further argument).

And, the current prohibition on your operating a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth will continue.
