Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My daughter moved in with me back in March. Since, her mother has turned in the paperwork to stop the child support. The support has now stopped. Am I still responsible to pay her? Or if we both agree write our own contract and get it notarized would that be sufficient?

No, what you're proposing is very likely not sufficient to effectively vacate the

child support order at issue. Rather a motion needs to be filed with the

court having jurisdiction over this matter to ensure that the order

is properly vacated, i.e., cancelled.

Call the clerk's office of this court and they should be able to clarify the

matter as to what's required (at least for that particular court).
