Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

While my daughter was visiting from Texas last week she left my granddaughter in my care to visit for 1 month. I am supposed to return her to my daughter in Texas at the end of her visit. No problem.

In the meantime, my daughter has separated from her husband.

My question is: if the father decides to come to Virginia and demands to take my granddaughter, am I required to surrender her to him? I am afraid he may do that to beat her to the custody order establishing custody and visitation she's seeking in Texas and may take my granddaughter to a foreign country. There's also a history of family violence.

What should I do if he shows up?
