Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

fathers rights

My ex filed for divorce when she moved to Virginia in August of last year it was finalized in March of this year, but she didn't include our children in the divorce and we have 4, now she will not allow me to see them or have much contact with them, what should I do? There is no visitation order or child support order.

Re: fathers rights

You need to immediately file a petition for visitation in the Juvenile District Court in the county where she lives with the children. I would do it right away because the longer you wait to take action it doesn't look like you were all that interested in visiting with the children.

If I can be of any help, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at 703-968-3974. Good luck to you.
