Husband Dies
My husband and I have been separeted for a long time, but not divorced. He recently died. He owned a house. Am I entitled to get the house?

That depends on a number of factors.
1. Did you own the house together?
2. If not, was it in his name only (i.e. not held jointly with someone else.
3. Was there an agreement you and he entered into when you separated? If so, what does it say?
4. Are there children of his marriage to you or of a prior marriage of his?
5. Did he leave a will? If so, what does it say?
Obviously, you should consult an attorney in the area your husband lived when he died.
