Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My husband and I both have preliminary protective orders against each other at the time the orders were put in place I was given temporary custody of my daughter and him temporary custody of my son at the hearing for the preliminary protective orders it was continued to May 8 and new preliminary protective orders issued until then the new orders did not address custody of either children but my husband's lawyer is claiming that the custody orders put on the previous protective orders are still in place is this correct?

Yes, could well be, but the issue may need to be addressed to the court that put

these last protection orders in place for a more definitve answer.
