How do I go about getting legal aid in getting my belongings back from my ex. He is still in the same state but moved and I don't know where to find him now.

Once you locate this person with a verifiable address, you could

then file what's called a warrant in detinue in the general district court

in that particular locality for the return of your personal property, and

further request that in the event that such property cannot

be returned to you (for whatever reason), that the court award you

a judgment against this wrongful withholder for the fair market value

of this property.
