Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

legal question concerning marriage and finances

I am planning on getting married shortly. I am a college student and would like to remain a dependent of my mother so that I can remain on her car and medical insurance even after I am married. Is this possible?

Re: legal question concerning marriage and finances

I am 99.99% sure that this is NOT possible. You can verify this by contacting your mother's insurance companies, but you will no longer be in the class of "insurable persons" on her policies.

In any event, you should consider a delay of the wedding until you have all these details ironed out.
