Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I live in Virginia, and I am 17. Three months away from 18, I have a 11 month old son, me am his father share custody. He's staying with his dad right now while I work some things out in my life. I can't get a full time job, or a job at all cause I'm not the legal 18 age, but with only 3 months till 18, I didn't know if I could get emancipated. I graduated at 16. My house hold is very stressful, I live with my grandparents, my grandmother has physical custody of me. Could I leave without being reported or go through a process to get emancipated quick?

Better to wait the three months and rely on the "spinning globe" to emancipate

you, i.e., the natural passage of time, rather than to try to "go through a process to get emancipated quick" which is never going to happen.
