meaning of joint Responsibility

What does joing responsibility mean?

I have full phyical custoday, my ex shows up at no er visits, and my job has been put on the line a few times from missing work for my son illnesses, and every time my ex has refused to help.

since i have full phyiscal with him having visitations, but joint responsibility.

What does that mean? Does that exculded him helping in anyway with our son when our son is in my care?

Since you claim that you have a court order which awards you "full physical custody" and your former husband has only visitaion privileges, then from

a legal perspective, there can be no joint responsibilty for any of the major issues concerning your son, and if this term has somehow

been included in the wording of the court order, it very likely has no legal import nor significance whatsoever.

And, if you still have doubts as to the term's meaning or significance, then you might consider asking the judge for clarification.
