Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
Non-custodial parent missed visitation
It has been 8 mo. since my Childrens Father has visited. He has court ordered visitation. If I dont let him visit I am legally in trouble. If he does not visit can he be in legal trouble or can this at least be a reason to alter the current ordering place to a more defined one? The situation of him coming in and out of the childrens lives is creating unneeded stress for every one in the family. Can the courts make someone keep the visitation?

Re: Non-custodial parent missed visitation
As a general proposition, courts of law can make no human being do anything that they are determined to do otherwise, and are willing to accordingly suffer the consequences of such non-compliance with a court's order.
