Struggle with payments – Help with Decreasing Child Support

My child support was calculated about 7 years ago. Since then I received some pay raise, bought a house, a car, got married and now have 3 more children. Recently with the market drop I lost the difference that I was making and now struggle with paying the child support. Can this factor help me to decrease child support so my current family don’t struggle? My ex is remarried.

Yes, a sustained loss in your gross monthly income and three more children in your household could indeed make a difference in your child support as calculated under the Virginia Child Support Guidelines found at Va. Code Sec. 20-108.2.
