Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I'm taking my ex husband to court for failure to comply with the divorce decree. He was ordered to pay marital debt and attorney fees and has paid nothing. I have to file a Show Cause and have him served. How do I do this?

A motion to reinstate or reopen the divorce case must be filed if it has already

been closed out followed by the Rule to Show Cause (as to why the defaulting spouse should not be found in contempt of court and be subject to appropriate

sanctions) with the supporting affidavit.

These are pleadings that are normally filed by attorneys in the circuit court which still retains jurisdiction over the divorce case.
