Terminate Rights

My ex and I live in VA she has full physical custody I have chosen not to have contact with the kids for over 6 years she is remarried and i want to ask a judge to terminate my rights i need to know what grounds would it require for a judge to do this. I would agree to pay for her husband to adopt them.

A stepparent adoption by your former wife's current husband would allow for the termination of your parental rights with respect to these children during the course of the adoption process. No Virginia judge is likely to approve of any other method for you to absolve yourself of responsibilty for these children.
