Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Time Frame on Adultery

My husband has cheated on me off and on during the past 23 years of marriage. I caught him again in 2001 and even have him on tape admitting to it. I tried to put it all behind me but can't do it. Is there a time frame when I can get him on adultery? Please respond soon. Thank you for your help.

Re: Time Frame on Adultery

There is no "statute of limitations" on adultery,

so to speak, that I'm aware of. However, more recent charges which are provable under the standard of proof required in civil court will obviously have greater credibility as a grounds of divorce than those which are more removed in

time.
