Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Abandoned Property

The previous renters of the home next to us left 3 items (grill, table, lawn mower) in our yard w/ a note stating they'd be back to pick up.

They've contacted us once, but have never picked items up. We've no contact number or address for them. At what is this considered

abandoned property that we can dispose of? Are we allowed to give it away??

Re: Abandoned Property

Yes, given the facts which you've recounted, you should be able to dispose of these items of apparently abandoned property by former renters as you see fit.
