Broken Contract

We are seeking a judgment agains a contractor who we paid a down payment of 2250, but did not do the job and will not return our calls. If we get the judgment, what is the next step to get our money back. We are proceeding against the business which is inc.

Your next step after obtaining a valid judgment against this non-performing contractor, would be to enforce the judgment by seizing whatever assets you can legally lay your hands upon such as bank, brokerage, or other financial accounts, or by filing liens against any real properties owned by the contractor and, if required, by forclosing such liens by having the properties sold at auction.
