Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

A couple of friends and I organized a tornado relief benefit earlier this year in which some of the checks were written to one of the ladies helping. She also has all of the paperwork involved with the group and the benefit. The problem is, she has had a falling out with one of the other members and is taking it out on everyone. She is sending messages to all of our benefactors, saying we were a fraud and she refuses to sign the checks that are in her name and turn over the paperwork and property of the group. (many clothes and such were donated for the cause) I am the chairman of this little group, we haven't filed any legal paperwork for the group and I'm trying to find out if there is any recourse we can take in this matter. I need her to turn over all property, stop making false accusations against the group, and sign the checks she had written to her for the benefit. We live in rural VA.
