On my driving record it says SUSPENSION-- DMV acknowledges that my license was never actually suspended because I complied with the order to pay $500 for not having insurance on a parked/undriveable vehicle. The date to be suspended was 4/10/06 I made payment on 4/06/06. Now I am trying to apply for a job with the post office and they will not hire me because I have a suspension that does not come off until 4/10/09. DMV acknowledges that it is just for insurance monitoring but will not do anything to help me state that my license was not suspended. Can I take them to court and win? I desperately need this job. All I am asking them to do is give me a letter or something to attach to my record for the post office. They refuse.

You need to go up the hiearchy of DMV supervisors/managers until you get the remedy that you must have to clear your driving record. And, if even the Director of this state agency him(or her)self declines to assist you with this problem, then contact the office of your state representative and the Governor himself, if necessary.

Keep at 'em and eventually you should get your record cleared.
