Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

My friend (old co-worker who was also fired by Boeing) is suing Boeing. I provided her lawyers with some information regarding stuff that happened to me and other people at the site that helps to build a case that the environment was toxic. Now Boeing wants me to come in and answer questions and provide them with documents that they already have. Can they legally ask me to travel 35 miles each way to attend the deposition? Do they need to give me a certain amount of time, like more than one week's notice? Does it matter if they have an old address for me listed on my subpoena? Would that make the document null and void?
