Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

judgement on credit was never notified of court date

Hello,

Tried disputing with credit reporting agencies no luck even if paid judgement says will stay on credit for 7 years so don't even see motivation to pay it. It was default judgement with apartment used to live at as they want to charge me more then orginally did for breaking lease was never notified of any court date so how could I go?

If you were never properly served with notice of the lawsuit which resulted in the judgment against you, you may still be able to file a motion to vacate it (the judgment). Your best approach would be to consult with an attorney on the matter to see whether you may still have such a chance to vacate the judgment which may possibly have been entered in the absence of your having proper notice of the lawsuit.
