Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Legal means of seeking refund

I had a contract with a business to cater a function and had paid them a deposit. The busines was closed 5 days prior to the function. I have since emailed, faxed, and sent certified letters to the owners to recoup my money. Is there any other way to track down the owners and get my money back? I though about looking up the business license, but I didn't think that would list personal home address or info. They have/had another business, but I have not seen any activity at that one either lately. Am I out of luck or is there still hope?

Re: Legal means of seeking refund

Keep looking, perhaps, with the aid of one of the online people searcher applications. If the contract was oral, you have three years to initiate legal action from the date of the breach; five years if written.
