property owner convenant changes

i live in a small subdivision of 8 lots. can we change our convenants with the attached signatures of 6/8 of the lot owners and then record with the county clerk.

If you're an association with bylaws,

this procedure would work only if permitted by the bylaws. However, if the covenants which you refer to run individually with the land(meaning each individual lot) and are independent of any HOA governance, the procedure which you've proposed would not appear appropriate to effect the kind of change which you intend.
