Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

I am registered as co-owner with my grandson on the title and registration to his motor vehicle. A tunnel authority is demanding I pay for unpaid tolls. The tunnel authority has threatened to suspend my driver's license. I have never driven the vehicle and I have never utilized the tunnel. Can I be held responsible for the payment of this debt? Can they cause my driver's license to be suspended?

So, why don't you write this tunnel authority a letter in response to its demand as to why you

should not have to assume responsibility for these unpaid tolls and that you will be glad to forward

this demand notice to your grandson who apparently is the one who should be held responsible.

As to whether this tunnel entity can arrange with Virginia DMV to suspend your driver's license,

I couldn't offer an opinion since you haven't even told me where this tunnel authority is located, i.e.,

in Virginia or somewhere else?
