Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Slander?

I am presently on Federal Probation. A person that owed me money couldn't pay so they went to the Police and reported that I was harassing and threatening them. Told the Police that I sent an e-mail saying that I would beat them up if they did not pay. I was contacted and was told I needed to stop threatening and harassing this person. My P.O. was also contacted and I was called in. Once I presented my side of the story to the Detective along with evidence that backed me up, the Detective realized that the story she was told was not true and the incident(s) never occurred.

Do I have any recourse?

Re: Slander?

If by recourse you mean a successful action to recover damages against this alleged debtor, I would think probably not.
