Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

written contract w ex boyfriend

Very basic contract. Written to state

financial arrangements and agreements

reguarding his vacating apartment(in

which I still live). Including a prorate

for days spent still living or storing

belongings past date of relationship

termination, money to be given to me

upon return of house keys, etc.

He is now refusing to pay me anything,

for various reasons. Need to know if I

have a case before tying up the legal

system in court. Thank You.

It would appear to be a matter likely suitable for small claims court(jurisdiction up to $5000). You can file your case there for less than $40.

No attorney needed(nor allowed to represent you in this forum).
