Re: need attorny for h1b extension

If the company B files for your H-1B transfer, it will be issued for the time frame the new company will request for. In other words, the 2009 expiration date will not matter. However, the 6-year limitation of H-1 will apply and it will be counted from day one of your initial H-1. If company B or any other subsequent employer will file labor certification for you before the 5th anniversary of your initial H-1, you will be able to extend the H-1 beyond the 6 year limitation.

I would be pleased to help you with your transfer. Please contact my office by phone or email to set a time to discuss what you will need to get started. The transfer should be valid for an additional 3 years. I will look forward to hearing from you.
