How long should I wait
came on B2 visa 1999, chngd to H1B, filed my Labor certification in 2001, 2005 due to some mishapp file got close at Philadelphia backlog centre, same employer did the substitution with apprvd (2000)labor in begening 2005, my finger printing done, got my work permit in 2005, renewed my work permit for the 02nd time. My all required documents were sent in nov 2006, got acknowledgement for receipt from uscis. after that no news.. how long should I wait !!!

Contact the USCIS district office which is handling the matter and ask for a status report on your case.
