time for I-130
once I-130 is filed, how long do i have to wait until i hear a response if I-130 was approved? according to the receipt notice from USCIS, I-130 was received on 3/24/2008

You should be able to check on the USCIS website itself for the status of your I-130 petition and a projected time frame for its approval which hopefully was accompanied by a properly completed I-485 as well as the other required supporting documentation.
