Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Virginia
I have a number of song lyrics that I need to copyright. The forms required are advertised at www.findlegalforms.com When I asked about where the completed forms are to be submitted, the person at this site did not know. Can someone please advise me about 1) what I might expect the charge to be for registration and 2) where I should submit the form(s). Thank you.

The Copyright Office website at http://www.copyright.gov/ has the address and will answer all of your questions. I recommend submitting the forms electronically through that website, because processing of paper forms can take two years. The charge for electronic registration is also lower, only $35. Filing with paper forms costs $65.
