Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Employment Law

My employer informed me last Thursday that I would have to read and sign the new company hand book of policies and procedures before I could receive my paycheck on Friday. I was on a job site on Friday and wasn't able to review this yet. Is it legal to make an employee agree to new policies to receive a paycheck?

Re: Employment Law

Your employer may not prevent you from payment for work already performed. However, if you are an at-will employee you may be adversely affected (for future employment) by failing to agree to the new policies.
