What information is required for a resignation letter here in Virginia?

There is no such formal requirement under Virginia law (as far as I am aware).

Generally, of course, you will want to specify a date as to when your resignation

will take effect and, perhaps, the reason(s) for it. But, beyond that, it's pretty

much up to you, but whatever you put in such a letter, you will want to be

reasonably certain that it will not hamper nor make it more difficult for you

to get your next job.
