Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

I am planning on renting out two rooms in my home. I am the landowner. Do I have to allow the roomers to have overnight guests or family members?

Also, if I rent out my separate basement apartment with two rooms, one bath, kitchen and living room and my tenants have long term family members or guests staying over will I have problems evicting them if they become a problem?

No, as landlord you can set the house rules on these issues as part of the lease.

Yes, it's possible that you might have to go through formal eviction procedures

(unlawful detainer action) in order to get them out.
