i have rented house im in for 18 yrs.my uncleowned it granparents left it to him and his sisters myfather was dead so he got left out uncle bought his sisters part out i ask him to rent it to me he was also married he agreed to rent it to me for 125.00amonth after livingherealong time we talked he told me as long as took interest in fixing the old home place up that if any thing ever happened to him he would see to it it belong to me he told every one of his friend that he was going to leave me house most people thought house already belong to me he said it was going to be mine because that way i would always have place to live noone would be able to run me off he told 25to30 people it was going to be mine when he was gone only deal was i had to keep it in family and couldnt neversell it or borrow money against it heres the problem he didnt think he would did at 52 so none of this is on paper wedidnt even have rent wrote up i paid 125.00amonth for 17 yrs. the day after his funeral i didnt get house instead his wife raised rent to 250.00she knew i didnt pey but 125.00all those years it was either pay it or moveim sure somewhere along the line he let her know he wanted me to have housecan she raise rent or do i have any claim to hom

Based upon the facts you've recounted, your claim, unfortunately, amounts to little more than hearsay with nothing in writing, and, therefore, you would have no legally viable claim to the home.
