Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

We have had a water leak in our townhouse for almost the whole year we have been here. The landlord finally opened a portion of wall to address it and the whole area between 2nd floor and 3rd floor is all mold. Basement bathroom shower pipes all coming up mud, mold in walls and between floor levels, 3 level TH. We have complained for months now about the water leaks from the upstairs main bathroom.. This TH still has some of the old cast iron pipes in it. Is the landlord required to find us housing until this place is safe again?? 3 levels, 2 bathrooms, We have only been here a year and withheld rent because of the water leaks not being addressed properly. He has said he will get in touch with the ounty to adress the water lines for the basement mud clog, etc.... But we need to know our rights in Prince William County VA....Water leakage and mold is scary with children..

Need more relevant facts such as for how long you've been withholding the rent

payment and for how much, and what has the landlord actually been doing in the

interim to fix these problems? (Might also need to review your lease.)
