Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Virginia

Drug Test Results

I was pulled for a random drug test by my employer. The results of the test show positive for marijuana, Currently I am on several prescription drugs; vicoprofen, valium and Norvasc. When my test results came back I was told none of the above prescription medications showed up on the test. Is that possible? I am challening my employer on whether this is my test since I have not used marijuana but only the prescription drugs?

Re: Drug Test Results

It would seem unlikely, particularly in view of the fact that these employer-required drug tests are quite often faulty. However, you should also bear in mind that marijuana often can show in one's system after all use has ceased for 30 to 60 days.
