Legal Question in Military Law in Virginia

Adultry

I am part of a command investigation, I contacted a married marine's commander due to his refusal to pay child support and threats by him against my life. I want nothing but to be safe and for him to stay away from me. They issued a Military protective order from NOV-JAN 1, 2009. Would they really court martial an E5 for adultry? Isn't that hard to prove? All I want is the MPO to be extended so I will be protected.

Re: Adultry

Adultery charges are prosecuted by the Marine Corps if there is a military impact from the offense. If you are the protected party and you feel the need for the MPO to be extended, you should contact the commander who issued it and ask for it to be extended. Be prepared to justify why you think it is necessary.
