The lawfulness of a military order is determined primarily by whether compliance serves a valid military purpose. The lawfulness of your order depends on where the road is located and why you're being asked not to drive on a certain part of it. But if you're being asked to sign an acknowledgment that you received the order, it is best to obey the order to sign it.
