Legal Question in Military Law in Virginia

Medical Issues Military Entrance

I am trying to serve in the US military and I have had a compression fracture in my t-6 and t-8 vertebrae but have been medically cleared by two separate non military orthopedic surgeons for military entrance. I was denied by the military and was not given a physical by a military doctor I was just told I was denied. What can I do? I really just want to be in the military.

I don't understand why you have not received a physical from a MEPS. If you receive a physical from a MEPS and are disqualified to enter the military, a MEPS medical doctor could make a recommendation as to whether or not a waiver should be considered. If a medical waiver request should be considered, your future lawyer can submit the request to the appropriate service you are trying to join.

You give no indication whether the MEPS prescreen report (DD Form 2807-2) of your medical history was even completed and submitted in your behalf and whether the information on that report was apparently used to deny you entrance into the military.
