Legal Question in Military Law in Virginia

Military orders

Scenario: Two enlisted females, 1 E5 the other E6. They are both friends, work in the same building but different Chain of Command. The E5 advances to E7, the E5 advances to E6. The E5 was pursuing a divorce, when the soon to be ex found out that the friend made E7, he filed fraternization charges on both parties. It was dropped at XOI. The XO stated that the two can remain friends, exercise, go out occasional, the E7s daughter could baby-sit the others children etc. After several months since the XOI the soon to be husband no longer wants the E7s daughter or the E7 near his children and threatens the wife with calling her command again. The E6 notifies her chief to give him warning. (The E7 is now a part of a different command altogether but still in the same building). The E6s Chief wrote a counseling chit ordering her to have nothing to do with the E7. Do not participate in any sports, do not talk, associate nothing with the E7. But both of them belong to the same sport team. Is that a lawful order? Can he order her to drop out of the team?

Re: Military orders

Why not ask your friendly, local JAG officer, rather than depending on the opinion from someone on the outside?
