Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

What can i do about a fall ?

i fell resulting in injury which required surgery . i''m in therapy , have loss of alot of sensation in the area that was injured . i may not be able to return to the work i am currently doing . they have decided that it was not their fault and will only pay the emergency room visit . they asked my for a statement which i gave all i know is that i bent over and when i stood up i went over the side . i fell 5 feet . there should have been a safety rail of some sort and they should have made sure that passengers boarding the train moved to the far end . i am falling behind on my basic ability to support my family due to my loss of income . i want to know what i can do to try to get this resolved if anything . i am afraid . after i stated that i was going to have to look else where to resolve this , the claims company told me that they would send me a letter as to what their decision was in the matter and that they may , since i am going to talk to '' outside sources '' hold the check covering the emergency room visit which they agreed to pay from the first conversation . can you help me or point me in the direction i need if there is one ?

You need to see an experienced personal injury lawyer before doing anything else with regard to this claim. It is hard to tell from the facts you provide what happened, and thus whether you have any sort of claim, it is clear that without a lawyer you will not be able to resolve it fairly.
