Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

2 car garage

I recently purchased a house 4 months ago and one of the options I paid for was a two car garage. the garage is attached, but my problem is on the inside I cannot fit two cars in only 1 car. The problem is the garage is about 3 feet below the opening of the kitchen door, so they had to build a large platform in order to reach the kitchen door. the builder knows of this situation and did not alert me that I would not be able to fit two cars into it. When I call them about it, his response was '' you got a 2 car garage, it's not our problem if you cannot fit 2 cars in it''. Can you give me some help with this situations? Thanks

Re: 2 car garage

Their response sounds like nonsense, unless you reviewed and approved the plans that showed clearly this problem. You should see a lawyer immediately, and if you have not gone to settlement to buy the house yet, discuss with the lawyer whether you should do so without this issue being resolved.
