How do I transfer my property so I can qualify for Medicaid When does this need to be done.

You might wish to consult an elder law attorney with

expertise in Medicaid issues who should be able to advise you on this issue, and, in particular, the issue involving the so-called "look back" window during which time such property transfers such as you've mentioned may be challenged by the state

Medicaid agency, and, even reversed and the property

claimed by the state as reimbursement for the Medicaid. This window has been extended in recent years and may now extend as far back as five years or so from the date of the property transfer by the Medicaid applicant/recipient.
