Judgments against any judgment debtor(and encumbrance of any such debtor's real property by lien) are normally valid for 10 years when entered in a general district court and for 20 years in a circuit court, and are subject to renewal for 10 and 20 years, respectively, in each of these courts, upon a proper application for such renewal.
